The Last of Us Part 1 reveals: Joel is unwell and he has to take these drugs

Even before the actual apocalypse begins, Joel is already struggling with various stress symptoms.

At the beginning of The Last of Us Part 1, Joel is not doing well. For a long time we didn’t know how bad his physical condition actually was. The man is stressed, of course. But thanks to the new, fancier graphics with more detail in the PS5 remake, we now get very accurate information. They reveal that Joel must have been suffering from severe stress – which only gets worse as the game progresses.

That’s what it’s about: Recently you can enjoy the story of The Last of Us at its most beautiful. The PS3 and PS4 blockbuster has been remastered from the ground up for the PS5. The remake shows previously undiscovered details thanks to higher resolution textures and more chic graphics.

how old is joel Take Joel’s age, for example. This is now easily recognizable thanks to his ID card. Joel was born in 1981. Which means he has to be 52 years old in The Last of Us. We knew Joel’s birthday beforehand, but not his year of birth.

He takes these medications: Joel suffers from various health problems at the beginning of the game. He not only takes medication for physical ailments, but also for an anxiety disorder. More specifically, he swallows pills for stomach ulcers, high blood pressure and his anxiety.

Joel is obviously stressed: Even before Joel’s daughter dies and the zombie apocalypse breaks out, Joel is struggling with stress symptoms that are reflected in mental and physical ailments. It’s just stupid that, as we know, there is no improvement in sight – quite the opposite. But at least Joel seems much more relaxed, healthier and happier at the beginning of The Last of Us 2.

We’re excited to see what details from the games and world of The Last of Us make their way into the HBO series. First of all, it films the story from the first part, but it should also expand the whole thing a bit. We may see more of Joel’s life before he meets Ellie.
