After a long wait and a silence, Nintendo has finally revealed the official name of the sequel. from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. is now called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and more importantly, it launches on May 12, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch.

Regarding the gameplay, it was shown a little and what we saw looks impressive. In addition to teasing some new lore and Zelda’s involvement in it, we see Link jumping from the sky and riding platforms up. Meanwhile, the longer-haired Link also makes an appearance, just casually climbing a branch.

First announced during Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct, the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is already confirmed to take place in the same Hyrule as the first game. However, it was later said that it was his “own game”. New gameplay shown last year revealed floating landmasses, the return of Runes, and Link using portals in unique ways.
