Square Enix Y Nintendo They hit the nail on the head with their new highly successful formula when creating HD-2D RPGs. We’ve already had several games in this cool graphical style, starting with Octopath Traveler, so it’s no wonder the company has no plans to slow down. After the critical success of this first game, both companies have announced a sequel to that legendary JRPG.

Octopath Traveler 2 was revealed at the recent Nintendo Direct and immediately grabbed the spotlight during the presentation, showcasing more of the gorgeous HD-2D graphics its predecessor was widely praised for. Now, we will have eight new characters with new stories that will intersect with each other, with the story set in a new era of the world of Orsterra. Meanwhile, an interesting new mechanic is also being introduced, which will see each character’s story paths affected by the time of day. The best thing is that we won’t have to wait that long, relatively.
