Zelda BOTW 2 finally has final release and title!

Finally! Nintendo not only unveiled the final title of the successor to Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 at Direct in September 2022, but also revealed the final release date of the upcoming open world action adventure for Nintendo Switch. So the rumors surrounding the Direct have come true.

Tatatatataaaaa, drum roll is the new name The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. hah! So nothing with sky and nothing with wind. Unfortunately, our GamePro own (really great) name suggestions didn’t fit.

When will Zelda BOTW2/Zelda Tears of the Kingdom be released?

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12, 2023.

Let’s hope the open world adventure won’t be postponed yet again. The sequel was originally supposed to open this year, but Nintendo postponed it to next year a few months ago.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Trailer confirms new name and release

Information about Zelda: Tears of Kingdom is still rare. We already know we’re headed back to the open world of Hyrule. What is new is that we are now also exploring flying islands in the open game world. Of course, we’re going back to our well-known glider, which we already know from the predecessor.

Link can now also move through surfaces. In the E3 2021 gameplay trailer, the blonde hero scales a tower by moving through the stones with the help of a special, greenish shimmering power.

All known information about Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be found in our large GamePro overview.

Now the GamePro community is asked: what do you think of the final title of the Hyrule adventure?
