Sony surprisingly invited to a State of Play for PS5, PS4 and PS VR2. During the show, new gameplay for God of War Ragnarök was shown, among other things.

Update from 09/14/2022, 8:45 a.m.: So there it was, Sony’s State of Play at the Tokyo Game Show. Matching the game fair, the focus of the Sony show was on releases from Japan. Highlights of the State of Play were the announcement of Tekken 8the new samurai game Rise of the Ronin from developer Team Ninja and a phat gameplay trailer for the upcoming PS5 hit God of War Ragnarok. Update from 09/13/2022, 3:50 p.m.: What many in the scene had already suspected seems to be true – apparently new FIFA23 bundles with the PS5 Disc and Digi will soon be on the market – at least that’s a leak reported exclusively by the winfuture.de website. Apparently, they got their hands on the first official marketing pictures before the State of Play, where the whole thing is supposed to be revealed tonight. If that proves true, it would be the third official bundle with the PlayStation 5.

According to winfuture.de, the disc version will cost €699 and the digital edition around €550. We don’t yet know what the bundle with the controller costs. Incidentally, the latest hardware revision 1200, which was recently discovered in Australia, should not yet be used. Both bundles are said to be available with an additional DualSense controller, but there are no details on the price yet.

When and where to see Sony’s State of Play? Sony’s suddenly announced State of Play is to take place this evening. However, European players need staying power or a lot of caffeine if they want to be there live today. The state of play should only start at midnight.

PS5: Sony could announce new AAA title at State of Play

Which PS5 games will Sony show at State of Play? Sony is still keeping a big secret about the titles that will be shown during the State of Play. So far it has only been said that players can find out about “nearly 20 minutes of reveals, updates and gameplay from 10 upcoming games for PS5, PS4 and PS VR2” may look forward to. But the rumor mill is already buzzing. A new look at God of War Ragnarök, which will be released in November, is very likely.

leakers @TheRealInsider, who recently leaked all the names of the announced Assassin’s Creed games, also wants to know about a brand new AAA IP from Sony for the PS5, which should be presented in the next 2-3 weeks.
