from Sarah Petzold
Call of Duty developers announced the release date for Warzone 2.0 and the shooter’s new map as part of Call of Duty Next. They also classified the connection between the Al Mazrah jump zone and Modern Warfare 2.

The cat has been out of the bag since September 15, 2022: Activision officially unveiled the new Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 as part of the “Call of Duty Next” showcase and published information about the release date as well as the new map. Fans can look forward to a completely new drop zone, which offers a total of 18 points of interest and transports players to a West Asian desert region.

Warzone 2.0 sends us into the desert

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 takes place in the fictional Republic of Adal in West Asia, which lies on a coast and is not only strategically but also materially of great interest for international affairs because of its rich deposits of raw materials. Accordingly, the capital of Adal, namely Al Marazh, is the focus of the battles of Warzone 2.0.

The game’s new battle zone has various strategic points, including an oasis, an oil refinery, a quarry, the city of Al Mazrah itself, an observatory, a swamp area with caves, an airport, several villages and a shipping port. The developers have already published images of these locations in an official blog post about the game, and more information about their role in Warzone 2.0 is to follow.

Finally, Activision has also announced when exactly Warzone 2.0 will appear. The release of the battle royale title is set to come shortly after the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which will be released on October 28, 2022. Warzone 2.0 will launch a short time later in conjunction with Modern Warfare 2 Season 1, on November 16, 2022.
