Last Wednesday, Sega announced the new part of its West since 2006 after the yakuza-Brand named game series. The title is surprising Like a Dragon 8.

In Japan, the games have always been under the name Like a Dragon (Japanese: Ryū ga Gotoku, 龍が如) and were only labeled in the west yakuza Mistake.

Sega now actually intends to harmonize this difference in the markets and to advertise the titles in the same way worldwide. Spin-offs are also affected, as can be seen from the announcements Like a Dragon Gaiden – The Man Who Erased His Name such as Like a Dragon—Ishin! reveals.

The naming of part 7 in Yakuza-Like a Dragon therefore also seems strange at first glance, but seems to have been deliberately chosen at the time of publication in order to link the two brand names with one another for western players and to make the transition easier.
