WoW: Night Fae players can keep their soul form in Dragonflight as well

There is good news for Night Fae in World of Warcraft. They can continue to use their soul forms in Dragonflight – as toys.

While Shadowlands hasn’t exactly sparked rave reviews on the whole, there are a few aspects that the heroes must painfully say goodbye to.

One of them is the Night Fae Soul Form, which will not work in the new Dragonflight expansion. But you don’t have to do without all the characters you’ve unlocked – they’ll give you back a new toy.

What’s the problem with the Night Fae? The Shadowlands Covenants all had different perks and bonuses, but no Covenant offered as many cosmetic customization options as the Night Fae. This is largely due to “Spirit Form,” the Night Fae’s signature ability, which transforms characters into an animal form.

There were numerous different soul forms to collect – be it from dungeons, from PvP, from raids or even while fishing. The shapes made up a large part of Night Fae character identities.

However, the soul form in Dragonflight will no longer be usable. Because all Shadowlands abilities will then be restricted to Shadowlands content and can only be used there. After all, Blizzard wants to say goodbye to “borrowed power” and instead establish a more complex, well thought-out talent system.

However, former Night Fae veterans do not have to do without the unlocked animal forms of the soul shape completely.

What’s coming with Dragonflight? With Dragonflight there is a new quest in the Ardenwald. Night Fae followers can speak to Lady Muunn in the Heart of the Forest and complete a short quest. The Shapes from Beyond the Veil quest grants the Seed of Renewed Souls toy.

The toy allows you to assume your currently selected soul form for 10 minutes – with a cooldown of only 5 minutes. If you want, you can continue to walk around permanently in soul form outside of battles.

What are the disadvantages? Because the Seed of Renewed Souls is a toy, the Night Fae Soul Form will lose its play value. The figure no longer grants a bonus to movement speed and the teleport spell “Flicker” cannot be used with the toy either. So it’s just a cosmetic effect to be able to spend a bit more in soul form in the future.
