ARC Raiders

What kind of game is this? ARC Raiders is a co-op shooter developed by Embark Studios and presented at the Game Awards 2021. At the time, the release was announced for 2022, which has since been pushed back to 2023.

In ARC Raiders you have to fight giant robots that come to earth from space. In addition to a sci-fi setting and the third-person perspective, the shooter focuses primarily on team play.

ARC 2

What kind of game is this? ARK 2 is an upcoming survival game that is being developed by Studio Wildcard and is intended to be the direct sequel to ARK: Survival Evolved.

The release of ARK 2 was pushed back to 2023 at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase 2022 on June 12th. Previously, at the world premiere of the “ARK 2” announcement trailer during the Game Awards on December 14, 2020, it was stated that ARK 2 would be released in 2022.

ARK 2 is said to differ from its predecessor in some gameplay elements in particular, such as having a Soulslike combat system and parkour movement, as well as allowing building from templates and cross-platform modding.

Ashes of Creation

What kind of game is this? Ashes of Creation is a sandbox MMORPG that aims to appeal to both PvP and PvE fans. The combat system is a mixture of action combat and tab targeting.

The open game world of Ashes of Creation is divided into zones, each containing a city. This city starts as a small collection of tents and can grow into a huge metropolis that can be attacked, destroyed and conquered at fixed times.

The state of Ashes of Creation in 2022 suggests that the MMORPG will not be released that year either.

Actually, Ashes of Creation was supposed to be released in 2019, but it was repeatedly postponed. The first alpha test phase then ran in 2021. At the beginning of January 2022, the announcement followed that Ashes of Creation would be adapted from Unreal Engine 4 to the new Unreal Engine 5.

After Alpha 2, several beta events are to follow, which will probably run for a long time. A release in 2022 is therefore almost impossible. There are many indications that Ashes of Creation will be released more in the area of 2023 or even 2024.

Nightingale

What kind of game is this? The new survival game from Inflexion Games, where former BioWare developers also work, describes itself as a “first-person PvE open world survival crafting game” that can be played solo or in co-op.

Nightingale is characterized above all by its setting, because the survival title plays in a Victorian fantasy world in which elements of industrialized England are mixed with fairies and monsters.

Nightingale’s game focus is on PvE, but also on exploration, crafting and community building. In general, you should explore a new world in Nightingale and build a life there, since your old world will soon be destroyed by a magical storm. But surviving in the new world is not without danger, because in this new place you are threatened with new dangers.

Palworld

What kind of game is this? According to chief developer Takuro Mizobe, Palworld is a survival shooter and lets you collect monsters similar to the Pokémon titles. The big difference, however, is that you fight for your survival in the world of Palworld and therefore have to defend yourself against the various monsters with firearms.

You can also tame, collect and breed the so-called Pals like in Pokémon, Temtem or the dinosaurs in ARK: Survival Evolved. Then they serve you as a mount, weapon or as a worker on a farm.

the Steam page by Palworld announced a release for the year 2022 for some time, although no exact date was known. In the meantime, however, the information has changed and the planned release date is 2023.

What kind of game is this? Redfall is a co-op shooter in which you have to prove yourself as a vampire hunter in the eponymous city. To do this, you choose one of the playable characters, all of whom have different backgrounds and characteristics.

In addition, Redfall will get an open world in which there should even be wars between different NPCs.

The co-op shooter was originally scheduled for release in summer 2022, but was postponed along with Starfield. The new release is now planned for the first half of 2023.

Sons of the Forest

What kind of game is this? Sons of the Forest is a survival horror game and the sequel to The Forest.

In Sons of the Forest you should find a missing billionaire on a remote island. The island itself, however, is described as a “cannibal-infested hellscape.” Players of the predecessor will find this description accurate.

As one of the biggest changes compared to its predecessor, Sons of the Forest presents changing seasons that affect not only you and your struggle for survival, but also the various creatures of the island.

Sons of The Forest has been postponed several times. The first missed release of Sons of the Forest was scheduled for May 2022 before the scheduled release was pushed to October 2022.

Some time later, Endnight Games then announced that they could not meet this date either and named February 2023 as the new planned release date(via Twitter).

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a story-driven co-op game that puts you in the shoes of four well-known DC “heroes”: Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot and Captain Boomerang.

You play either solo or in online co-op and pursue the goal of eliminating the evil members of the Justice League, including Superman. You beat your way through the open game world of Superman’s adopted home Metropolis.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was originally scheduled for release in 2022 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/ S, but has been pushed back to 2023 (via Twitter).

The Day Before

What kind of game is this? The Day Before is a survival shooter that takes you to a city suffering the effects of a zombie apocalypse. Visually, the survival game reminds some players of Ubisoft’s looter shooter The Division.

In addition to fighting zombies, the game itself is also about looking for food, weapons and resources to ensure your own survival. However, you don’t only fight against NPCs – an important part of The Day Before is PvP.

The Day Before was scheduled for June 2022 for PC on Steam, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but has been pushed back by almost a year to March 1st, 2023.

Throne and Liberty

What kind of game is this? Throne and Liberty is an MMORPG from the Korean developer studio NCsoft, which was planned as Lineage Eternal and was completely taken offline and reworked in 2017.

A trailer for the coveted title is on YouTube already 8.9 million views.

The MMORPG is based on an open game world in which movement should play an important role. Players can use grappling hooks, but can also transform themselves into aquatic and flying animals.

Throne and Liberty was considered an MMORPG hope for 2022. In August of this year, however, NCsoft announced that the release had been postponed to 2023.
