WoW: What cute flower porcupines – need transmog for hunter pets!
The data miners have pulled new wild animal models for otters, beavers and flower porcupines from the WoW: Dragonflight installation files, some of which are so cute that players want a transmog feature for hunter companions. Cool idea?
Just yesterday (September 17, 2022) we gave you the new, tameable Slyvern wild animals from WoW: Dragonflight presented. Today there’s more Dataming replenishment by wowhead, namely cuddly otter, beaver and porcupine models. We especially like the spiky “pigs” that have little flowers hanging between their quills. But see for yourself:

Hunter pet transmog, good idea?
If the Otter model looks familiar to you, yup, it’s very reminiscent of that new otter mount that you can earn for the 500 mount achievement “Thanks for the Carry!. But the data miners had also found other Otter mounts, click here Overview of the previously known mounts from the upcoming WoW expansion.
Some of the new models of wild animals are so well received by the players that some people now wish for a kind of transmogging system for the wild animal companions of the hunters, so that a trick gives you access to the animals of all families and roles (by Blizzard it allows skins of tamed animals to be placed over the active pet’s model). Alternatively, new quest lines have been suggested through which the hunters could earn the lifting of the current restrictions.
An argument that speaks for the new freedom in the choice of companion: From the point of view of the proponents of this idea, there is actually no longer any meaningful reason that would justify the current rules for the choice of companion. Even in PvP you can see via the interface whether a player has access to, for example, the cunning ability reputation of the master Has.
How would you like to be able to use all of Azeroth’s wild animals as pets with your hunter, or if Blizzard introduced some kind of wild animal transmog system that allows you to put skins of tamed animals over the real model? Tell us in the comments!
