In addition to the assassination attempts themselves and stealth elements, parkour also plays a greater role in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Assassin’s Creed Unity, published in 2014, serves as a model for the parkour system.

Back to the roots

That’s what lead producer Fabian Salomon said in an interview Arab hardware reveal. The parkour system was one of Assassin’s Creed Unity’s strengths.

When asked if the parkour system aligns with Unity, Salomon said, “Indeed, that’s our absolute goal. We’re seriously trying to reach that level with Mirage.”

More news about Assassin’s Creed Mirage:

“And since Baghdad, as I mentioned, is very densely populated, we want players to enjoy their time in the city through parkour, which has been and still is one of the key pillars that we’re focusing on in the playstyle of Exit Assassin’s Creed Mirage.”

So let’s hope Mirage does a good job of capturing and executing that feeling.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled for release in 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.
