Modern Warfare 2: Raids are set to come to the new Call of Duty in Season 1

Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28, 2022. Developer Infinity Ward has now announced new details. The new Call of Duty gets raids like Destiny.

Santa Monica, California – It’s finally here in less than a month. Then Modern Warfare 2 from publisher Activision will appear on the PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and of course on the PC. Little by little, fans are now getting more and more information about the first-person shooter from developer Infinity Ward. Apparently, the developers took inspiration from the competition, because the new “Call of Duty” title will feature a new multiplayer mode that will be familiar to World of Warcraft and Destiny players.

What’s up with the raids? In the “Call of Duty Next” livestream, developer Infinity Ward revealed new details about the immediate future of the popular shooter series. So fans can look forward to a lot of information about Modern Warfare 2, Warzone 2.0 and Warzone Mobile. We have clearly listed all the news about Warzone 2 in our article.

In addition to the Battle Royale, Modern Warfare 2 also gets some innovations, and apparently the developers from Santa Monica were inspired by titles like WoW and Destiny. Raids are introduced as a new multiplayer mode in Modern Warfare 2. In addition, Modern Warfare 2 on consoles should get an FoV slider. Fans have been asking for this feature for a long time.

The raids should look like this: Like on that Official Call of Duty Blog announced, players with the raids will receive a “completely new [Spiel-]experience” experience. The raids can be played by up to three gamers* and require strategic thinking in addition to teamwork. You will also have to solve puzzles between fights – just like in Destiny or WoW. The raids should also last several hours. In the next few weeks, more information about the raids will come.

When do raids come into play? Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28th for last and current-gen consoles and PC. However, the raids will not be available immediately at release. Instead, they will be added later. The raids should be introduced into the game together with Season 1. Release date for Modern Warfare 2 is scheduled for November 16, 2022.
