Battlefield creators hope Call of Duty will be Xbox exclusive

It is now known that developers DICE with Battlefield 2042 failed to meet publisher EA’s expectations. As part of an event, CEO Andrew Wilson spoke again about the weakening shooter series. In addition to his own efforts to get Battlefield under control again in the future, the EA boss has another Wishfrom which the brand could definitely benefit.

What is Microsoft doing with the Call of Duty series?

It’s no secret that Activision with Call of Duty the biggest competitor for Battlefield and EA. And that’s exactly why Wilson would have no problem if the shooter series were actually only for Xbox and PC would be available. “In a world where there are questions about the future of Call of Duty and what platforms it may or may not be on – I think there’s a tremendous opportunity for Battlefield to be platform agnostic and cross-platform. ” – said the CEO of EA.


At the moment, however, it looks like Battlefield will continue to deal with Call of Duty on Playstation, Xbox and PC for the time being. According to Microsoft, the games in the shooter series will remain open for the time being all current platforms – and this despite the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. This year stand with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 two new Call of Duty games. EA continues to focus on Updates for Battlefield 2042 (buy now €19.98).
