Fire Emblem Engage could use more storage space than its predecessors

At last week’s Nintendo Direct, the company unveiled Fire Emblem Engage. The game, about which one or two rumors had already spread, is scheduled to appear on the Nintendo Switch on January 23, 2023.

That’s how much the digital version consumes

Like Nintendo on its official site indicates you will need around 15 GB of free storage space if you choose to purchase the digital version of Fire Emblem Engage. The exact value can certainly deviate a little from this imprecise specification. After all, the statement from Nintendo offers a rough house number.

The last main game in the Fire Emblem series, Three Houses, was a bit smaller. The game took up about 11.6 GB of storage space. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, as the latest installment in the series, still manages 13.4 GB.

In Fire Emblem Engage, new characters like red and blue haired protagonist Alear meet familiar faces like Marth and Celica. Together they fight in turn-based tactical combat and face off against a dangerous enemy to bring peace back to Elyos.

Fire Emblem Engage is now available for pre-order. In addition to the standard version, there is even the Divine Edition, which contains an art book and a steel book.
