WoW: Wrath of the Lich King Classic Launches Next Week – Will You Play It?

Arguably WoW’s most popular expansion, Wrath of the Lich King is about to return in all its Classic glory. Will you play WotLK again?

This is WotLK: The second expansion of the popular MMORPG was originally released on November 13, 2008 and was expected by Warcraft fans. So much so that in many cities there were long queues outside stores as people wanted to get their copies of the expansion as quickly as possible.

Next week, on September 27, 2022, the King returns, and many fans will head north of Azeroth once more to take back some of that “back then” feeling.

However, not everything in the Classic version of WotLK will be exactly the same as in the original version. There are adjustments and some features have been taken over from retail. These include, for example:

• Opportunity to change races and factions
• The dungeon finder will not be available
• The Wintergrasp battlefield is not an open PvP area, etc.
