GTA 6: Players put together the map from Leak
A huge leak around Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto 6 made the rounds last weekend. Rockstar itself was probably “extremely disappointed” that this information was made public in advance, but the development of GTA 6 should not be affected by this. Now some extremely dedicated players have turned the 90 different videos and screenshots into a real in-game map using Google Earth and Microsoft Paint, as reported by Kotaku.

The GTA 6 map could not create this group of players itself with the leaked videos, otherwise Rockstar would hit them with a DMCA request. Instead they had to GTA Forum users got a little more creative and instead used screenshots from Google Earth instead of images of the actual map, while others used Microsoft Paint to create their very own version. There is probably one too Discord serverwhere users can easily share the leaked materials.
How big the GTA 6 map will be exactly cannot be estimated at this point in time, after all the towns in the game are not reproduced on a 1:1 scale. Currently, players are probably using the map from GTA 5 to recreate the GTA 6 variant as accurately as possible.
Of course, these efforts are made on the premise that the leaked scenes will also appear in the real game. The visuals shown are all from a very early version of Grand Theft Auto 6, so we can’t be sure that the final game’s map will look exactly the same.
