Enlisted: Update brings stable 120 FPS in native 4K resolution

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

In Enlisted, the Battle of the Pacific has begun.

Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment announce the release of Pacific War major content update for online shooter Enlisted.

The new campaign faithfully recreates the battles on the Pacific theater of World War II: risky island landings using amphibious tanks and air support from aircraft carriers, fierce battles between infantry and armored vehicles in a lush tropical jungle with a multitude of water barriers.

For the first time, the Japanese Army is represented in Enlisted, and players can use many unique weapons and vehicles from their arsenal, from Arisaka rifle modifications and anti-personnel mines to Zero fighter jets and Ha-Go light tanks. Also, more than half of the US gear in this campaign has never been seen before in Enlisted – such as the Australian Owen Mk.1-42 submachine gun and the M13 MGMC anti-aircraft halftrack.

Also, a new tactical option has been added to the game, namely a melee weapon charge, reminiscent of the famous Banzai attacks. Another spectacular addition to the game arsenal are phosphorus grenades. All these weapons are used in new missions that take place on the famous Guadalcanal coasts and also on the island of Gavutu.

Aircraft carriers were the primary military force in the Pacific theater of WWII and now make their debut in Enlisted, as have seaplanes, which were also used by both sides. Aircraft carriers are where the players providing air support will take off from in the new campaign. You can also return here to make repairs or reload ammo. The ships’ anti-aircraft artillery protects them from enemy attacks during landing. Japan is represented in the game by the aircraft carrier Shokaku, while the United States deploys the Saratoga. The seaplanes take off and land directly from the water.

The update also significantly improves the performance of the game. Enlisted is now included stable 120 FPS in native 4K resolution on Xbox Series X in High Performance mode and variable refresh rate (VRR) support allows you to play as comfortably as possible (with more than 60 FPS) in High Quality mode on all new generation consoles (PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X| S) play on TVs that support VRR.

In addition, it is planned to reach a stable 60 FPS on previous generation consoles as well. All of these improvements are achieved through optimized algorithms and more efficient use of hardware resources. The performance of the game has also been improved accordingly on the PC.
