Ubisoft delays the game Skull and Bones again

The now long-delayed pirate game, which was scheduled to release in November, was pushed back four more months. It will now release on March 9, 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store.

Skull and Bones was originally scheduled for a 2018 release, but was pushed back several times, with the project also getting a 2020 reboot.

“While development on the game is finished at this stage, the additional time will be used to further polish and balance the experience using player feedback from our technical testing and Insider program that has been conducted over the past two weeks. ”, Ubisoft said today wednesday.

“This is the right decision for both our players and the long-term success of the game, as March 9, 2023 provides a suitable launch window for this unique new brand.”

Ubisoft also announced today that it plans to hold an open beta before the game’s release. Skull and Bones is a multiplayer first game set in a world inspired by the Indian Ocean during the golden age of piracy.
