DeadSpace gets a remake and the new edition is said to have no loading times at all. But that was not all. There’s another big similarity with the 2018 blockbuster God of War, like Electronic Arts rolled into one official blog post explained.

Dead Space Remake has no loading times or other interruptions

As in God of War: In addition to the lack of loading times, the camera work is another special feature of the action hit for the PS4. Everything appears to be of one piece, there are no visible cuts or interruptions. Cutscenes and gameplay always flow seamlessly and we look in vain for obvious loading times.

The Dead Space remake does the same: The people behind the remake have in mind one big, cohesive experience that doesn’t need to be interrupted at all. So we can experience the entire story in one go without a cut. At least the developers promise a completely new, uninterrupted experience:

“By the way, we also actually create the entire game as one coherent shot. From the first moment of the game to the moment it ends, there are no camera cuts or loading screens – unless you die.”

According to Senior Producer Philippe Ducharme, it should even be possible to reach previously visited areas of the Ishimura again later. If we missed something, we can go back and pick things up because everything is actually connected now.

More on Dead Space and the alternative Calisto Protocol:

When is the Dead Space remake coming? It doesn’t take that long anymore, not even half a year. The current release date for the new edition of the sci-fi horror classic is scheduled for January 27, 2023 for Xbox Series S/X, PS5 and PC. At least if everything goes well and there is no shift in between.

How good do you think the camera work is without cuts and loading times? Will you miss any of this?
