PC Games 10/22: The big anniversary edition with a free magazine archive on DVD, many specials and the luxury full version Stellaris

The cover of PC Games Extended 10/22 - our big anniversary edition.

We are celebrating a birthday! The very first PC Games appeared almost exactly 30 years ago in September 1992. We took this milestone birthday as an opportunity to put together a very special anniversary booklet for you. For the first time in years we have more volume than usual, which we use, among other things, to present you with more than 50(!) pages of specials on the history of the magazine and of course gaming itself over this long period of time – who doesn’t becomes nostalgic, we can no longer help. Or … maybe it is: Because an even bigger pinch of retro awaits you on the DVD of the magazine. It contains the first part of our large PDF magazine archive – all editions of the PC games in PDF form, from 1992 to today! However, due to the sheer volume of data, we’ll have to split the archive across three discs in the next three issues. As a special treat, we’re including our digital luxury full version of Paradox’ space hit Stellaris. And: There is also something to win in the magazine if you take part in our anniversary competition!

Of course we also have “normal” gaming topics for you. For example, we recently visited the developers of Dead Island 2 – to our surprise, the zombie adventure is still alive and should be released early next year. You can read in our big preview why we would put a question mark behind Germany. We also have last-minute information about the individual modes in FIFA 23 shortly before the release and tell you in a clear form what the most interesting topics at Gamescom were last month.

During the tests, we take a detailed, and of course a bit technical, look at Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered. The superhero hit that used to be exclusive to Playstation has finally been released for the PC – and we’re checking whether the port is also making use of the technical possibilities. Unfortunately, the latter cannot be said about the new Saints Row – you can read in the test what disappointed us from a technical point of view and why the title still has its charm. And: We also did our laps in F1 Manager 2022 – we will also tell you whether we slumped in the last places and what the Frontier title can do.

These topics await you in PC Games 10/22:
