Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Eivor will soon be able to fight with lightsabers

If you don't feel like using the old axes anymore, you'll soon be able to swing lightsabers.

Sounds funny, but it’s like this: Although Eivor from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is really not a Jedi or Sith, she/he will soon be able to wield lightsabers. At least it looks like they’re going to make their way into the game’s Helix Shop soon. They’re not officially in yet, but it can’t be long and we already know what they look like.

Sexism issues at Ubisoft: The French developer and publisher has been accused of a toxic corporate culture since July 2020. These include far-reaching sexism problems, misogyny and discrimination, which are said to be deeply rooted in the company. Although Ubisoft has already taken action, for example by exchanging management staff and openly commenting on the allegations, many employees within the company feel that these measures are not sufficient.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets red, green, purple, and blue lightsabers

Actually, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is more or less the perfect Viking fantasy. However, there is also all the Isu stuff, the Animus and a lot of other fantasy elements related to Odin and Norse mythology. Theoretically, everything is possible and the few lightsabers don’t make the buck fat anymore. Still, don’t expect an exact Star Wars reproduction.

This is what the new weapons look like: They’re not really available in the game’s shop yet, but thanks to leaks you can still see the lightsabers in this video by YouTuber AndyReloads:

The new swords come in red, green, purple, and blue colors. So you can decide whether you prefer to go in the direction of Kylo Ren, Mace Windu, Yoda or Luke. Of course the whole thing officially nothing to do with Star Wars and it doesn’t look exactly like it does in the movies or series. But the colors and how the swords go on and off is probably no coincidence.

More Wild Weapons: In addition to the lightsabers, there are probably some other new weapons that are more reminiscent of Final Fantasy. Maybe it’s just me, but one of the swords bears some resemblance to Cloud Strife’s Mail Sword in Final Fantasy 7.

When does it come into play? We don’t know when the new sets with the lightsabers and the other new items will be available in the Helix shop. There is no official announcement about this yet. But YouTuber and Assassin’s Creed expert AndyReloads believes it should happen within the next 60 days.

How do you like the lightsabers and what color would you like them to be? Does that remind you of Final Fantasy too?
