Fortnite offline: Server down due to maintenance & problem – update 22.10 is coming today
Fortnite is offline – currently running Maintenance work for the update 10/22. As Epic Games on Twitter reports, this time the downtime does not start as usual shortly before the patch rollout. Rather, the developers had to take the servers offline early on due to an error. “Because of a problem we have to start early with the downtime. That Update 10/22 will continue on October 4th released. We’ll let you know as soon as the maintenance is over,” Epic Games wrote on Monday evening via the short message service.
Downtime: This time longer than usual
As usual, the servers should go down at 10 a.m. today, and the matchmaking systems should be switched off half an hour earlier. Because of the problem mentioned, however, are already no logins or game joins since last night possible. As a rule, maintenance work at Fortnite lasts only a few hours and is completed by noon. It remains to be seen whether that will also be the case this time. Epic Games has not yet commented on whether the well-known update process can run smoothly today or not. As soon as we receive further information, you will find out as usual on our website.
Patch Notes: What’s in the 22.10 update?
The same goes for the Patch Notes for Fortnite (buy now €19.99) updated 22.10, because they are not yet available. According to current leaks, today’s or a future update could include Super Styles for the Battle Pass and the Explosive Goo Gun weapon. New weekly task should also be pending. Fans will probably have to be patient for information about this year’s Halloween event. However, it is possible that Epic Games will make initial background preparations for the horror event at the end of October with the upcoming updates.
