Sony: Seemingly extensive list of PS5 titles leaked

Sony (Unternehmen) von Sony

After the leaks of GTA 6 and Diablo 4, there is now a leak from Sony that could give an insight into the future of the PlayStation 5. an in Forum Resetera published document allegedly shows titles in development for PlayStation 5 and PC.

A codename leak

As always with this type of leak, it is not possible to conclusively prove the authenticity of the document. In fact, Tom Henderson and Resetera user Dusk Golem, who have proven to be solid sources in the past, add a little more resilience to the whole thing.

Some of the titles were not shown with real names, but only with their codes. Mentioned are productions currently in development at Guerrilla Games, Kojima Productions, Firesprite, Sumo Digital, Ballistic Moon, Lucid Games, Housemarque and London Studio.

Guerrilla Games is working on these games

Guerrilla Games in particular is causing eyebrows to be raised, because according to the list, not only is a DLC for Horizon Forbidden West and the VR adventure Horizon Call of the Mountain but also an online offshoot of the series in development which is called “Game as a Service ” is listed. A PS5 remaster of the 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn is also said to be in development – which seems a little premature given a recently released patch that allows 4K at 60FPS on the PS5.

That’s what the other Sony studios do

According to the leak, Firesprite is currently working on a survival horror title codenamed “Heartbreak”, Sumo Digital an open-world multiplayer codenamed “Carbon”, Lucid Games (Destruction Allstars) is said to be developing a vehicle combat game codenamed “Redstar”. Ballistic Moon sits on the open-world title Bates (codenamed) and the London Studio on a multiplayer service title codenamed Camden. Another highlight is “Ocean” – a PS5 open world game by Kojima Productions.

Old list – and only UK studios in the leak

According to the insiders, the published document is said to be a somewhat older list – which should not contradict the truthfulness of the leak. In addition, there are only titles that are related to Sony studios that (partly) develop in Europe. Prominent names like Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog or Insomniac are missing – although there are also big titles in development there.
