until Super Mario in his new movie bouncing across the screen, it’s still a while away. The animated film from Illumination is released after a shift not until April 2023. An exact date for Europe is not yet known, in the USA the release is scheduled for April 7, 2023. The long wait seems to be inspiring fans to create their own Super Mario creations. So an aspiring developer has a realistic Super Mario Bros. developed and Chris Pratt cast in the role of the famous plumber.
Super Mario Bros. in a realistic 3D world
A YouTuber named Re-Imagined Games recently uploaded a video showing his version of Super Mario Bros. indicates. The new developer has, using the Unreal Engine not only put the Italian plumber in a more realistic 3D world, but also gave him the face of actor Chris Pratt, who will voice the character in the upcoming Super Mario movie. Who thinks that in the trailer the voice of John Bailey of the YouTube channel screen junkies speak, hear correctly. However, this is not the real John Bailey, but one synthetic version of his voicewhich was generated with a language AI.
As far as gameplay goes, Re-Imagined Games has thought of everything a Super Mario (buy now €9.99) Bros. and reinterprets it with realistic textures powered by the Unreal Engine. There are giant Goombas, floating mystery boxes and shimmering coins in his game. Of course, the iconic pipes should not be missing either.
Super Mario movie as inspiration to learn new things
While many Nintendo fans reacted rather negatively to the announcement of the new Mario movie starring Chris Pratt, Re-Imagined Games is excited about it and took it as an impetus to try their hand at video game development. He was keen to see what it would be like if Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Keegan-Michael Key and Jack Black, who lend their voices to the characters in the new animated film, roamed around in a realistic Super Mario game.
“Having no game development experience whatsoever, I’m learning the Unreal engine from scratch and gathering any other skills I can pick up along the way to make a really great action game.”according to Re-Imagined Games in the description of the video.

If that wasn’t enough Mario in 3D, look forward to the unveiling of another version of Nintendo’s bouncing plumber. Because the Japanese developer and the film house Illumination have announced a first teaser trailer at the upcoming New York Comic Con at the October 6, 2022 to show.
