Destiny 2: King’s Fall – This is how you master the third raid challenge “Stunned Look”.

If you want to have extra loot from the Kingsfall raid in Destiny 2, you can face one of the challenges. This week it takes place at the ogre. MeinMMO gives you tips on how to complete the third raid challenge “Baffled Look” easiest done.

What is a Raid Challenge? The so-called challenges or challenges in the Destiny 2 raids are additional tasks that players can tackle in the PvE endgame. They’re fun and bring in some extra loot. So more of the prestigious weapons and armor for everyone.

However, the challenge also restricts the normal, familiar way of playing in a special way. Depending on which challenge is currently active, you have to re-coordinate yourself in order to master it in the end.

Each week, a different challenge is active and it usually only takes place in a specific raid encounter or phase. MeinMMO informs you on Tuesdays in the weekly reset about which challenge it is exactly and where it takes place.

There are a total of five such encounters in the “Königsfall” raid – the jump passages are left out in the challenges. They rotate every week, but not in random order.

How to complete the challenge: “Bewildered Look”

Where does the challenge take place? The Startled Gaze raid challenge takes place in the second phase of the Kingsfall raid on the ogre Golgoroth.

This used to require you to pick up special bounties from Hawthorne, but that has changed. The challenge is automatically active when the raid starts. When you start the raid, you will see the relevant information on the bottom left.

This is how the challenge succeeds: In order to complete the challenge “Baffled Look” in particular, it depends on the two “Eye Bearers” or “Fury Pullers”. So the one who first attracted the anger of Golgoroth has to stand in one of the recovered light pools with the rest of the team that does damage. Only then may the second player sneak up behind Golgoroth and fire at the yellow hitpoint to steal the ogre’s gaze back.

The challenge sounds more dangerous as the Axion darts can now hit the entire team. You should also always pay attention to whether the Unstable Light debuff activates, which could cause you to take additional damage. Except for these details, however, the challenge does not deviate much from the normal routine in the encounter, so that it is still manageable.

If it still fails, you will get the message “Challenge failed”. Then, to try again, you can all die and the encounter will restart.

Tips for the challenge

Even if it sounds easy, we have put together a few practical tips that you can use.

• It is best to equip damage resistance and healing resources for the challenge, as this will help you survive in critical situations.
• For the tactics in the light pools you have two options:
  • You can either separate the Gazebearer a bit by positioning the damage team on the right side of the circle and the Gazebearer on the left.
  • Alternatively, the gaze carrier can only jump into the pool of light before another player has to steal Golgoroth’s gaze again.
• As usual, to get rid of the axion darts, the wielders should equip a fast-firing machine gun.
• The exotic linear fusion rifle “Arbalest” has proven itself so that the rage carriers get the gaze buff quickly. One bullet is enough here, so you don’t have to waste a lot of ammo.
• Also good to know: losing gaze through death or the end of the damage phase doesn’t affect the challenge.

What is the reward? If you have successfully mastered the challenge, there is bonus loot in addition to the completion of the title plaque “Baffled Look”.

In addition to the standard chest, another loot chest appears after a short time at the end of the encounter. This is also top-of-the-line equipment.

Since each encounter offers special loot, this means that for the Startled Gaze raid challenge, you will get the Head Armor, Leg Armor, Curse of Zaouli Hand Cannon, or Reckoning of Midha Fusion Rifle.

• In Normal mode, completing a challenge earns you double the loot.
• If you’re playing on Grandmaster difficulty, you’ll get status-specific armor and Tormented weapons (master versions). Here, however, the power level requirement is also 1600 with anti-barrier champions.
• You can also earn the new Oryx-themed raid-exclusive Exotics in Grandmaster.

Guaranteed to receive a weapon with Deep Sight Resonance: All weapons from the King’s Fall Raid are craftable. To do this, however, you must first unlock their blueprints.

So don’t forget to take the Oryx chest symbols with you, especially in this Ogre phase. This is the only way to secure the additional raid weapon with a red frame to tune in as a drop from the final boss.
