The First Descendant: Visual style should impress thanks to Unreal Engine 5

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

The First Descendant achieves impressive graphics quality using Unreal Engine 5.

The First Descendant was already in an advanced stage of development when Nexon Games made the decision to switch to Unreal Engine 5.

The developers were convinced by the possibilities offered by Nanite and Lumen. According to the developers, Lumen, a global real-time lighting system, is essential for next-gen projects. The team has gone to great lengths to make the characters more attractive than in other well-known sci-fi content and to deviate from the serious and somber moods that are often found there.

With realistic lighting effects and environmental factors, a convincing and at the same time appealing setting should be created. The big boss monsters are a special challenge in the genre, so we worked very hard on them.

The First Descendant will be released on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. There is currently no known release date. On Steam you can sign up for the open beta from 10/20/22 to 10/26/22 to registerwe have already reported on this.
