Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 2 begins tonight, on Thursday, October 7th at 2:00 a.m. CEST, and here are some important tips to get you started on this exciting community adventure! The event will take place in the current, recently released patch 2.5the one with the Terror Zones introduces a new endgame feature.
If you know Diablo 3 in its original version from 2012, you will surely be familiar with “Inferno”. This fourth level of difficulty was rock hard at the time and was rejected after much criticism of the bad balancing. In Diablo 2 Resurrected, the developers proceed with a little more sensitivity and implement with the so-called Terror Zones in Patch 2.5 a kind of controlled “Inferno” mode.
If you’re playing with Terror Zones active, fiendish tremors full of the Lord of Destruction’s steadfast corruption roll into specific zones every hour, encouraging and terrorizing the monsters. The monsters in these zones are at least two levels above your current level or their original level – up to a certain maximum depending on the difficulty level. The experience and loot gained from killing terrorized monsters is based on this new tier. Terrorized monsters also grant additional experience points. You can find out more about the terror zones in this special. The video above also provides a game preview of the new feature.
