This cosplay of Luke Skywalker will make you (almost) forget Episode 9
Many fans were and are from Episode 7, Episode 8 and Episode 9 anything but convinced of Star Wars. Just the representation of Luke Skywalker in the new trilogy has repeatedly caused heated discussions on social media. But no matter how you feel about the last three movies in the Star Wars cosmos, Luke Skywalker is and remains a legendary pop culture figure for the original trilogy alone. And just such legendary figures of pop culture are perfectly suited as templates for cosplays. On the subreddit r/cosplay a few days ago a photo of a cosplayer appeared that looks frighteningly like Mark Hamill.
The Power of Similarity
The Reddit user is behind the cosplay u/imflukeskywalker. This was in full gear on the Cincinnati Comic Expo on the way, on which a very coherent photo of the cosplayer was taken. While many other people in the cosplay scene are experimenting with numerous projects, Fluke Skywalker is best known for his adaptation of the Star Wars hero.
And indeed he sees, especially in robe and with lightsaber in hand, looks almost exactly like Mark Hamill. He jokingly commented on Twitter that Fluke looks more like him than he does. But the costume and pose are more than excellent on their own and add the icing on the cake to the presentation. The cosplayer can also be booked for birthdays or similar events. He collects money for charities and institutions such as the Ronald McDonald House in Cincinnati, Ohio.
More Star Wars Cosplay
In addition to Luke Skywalker, there are also high-quality cosplays for numerous other Star Wars characters. In the past we have repeatedly reported on very good Rey cosplays. But characters like Ahsoka Tano or Queen Amidala, who were part of the Star Wars cosmos especially in the 2000s, are also well represented in the cosplay community.
