WoW: Dragonflight: But no mass grip for warriors
Just over a month ago, WoW’s Game Director Ion Hazzikostas spoke about distributing important utility skills in Dragonflight, such as attracting mobs from the death knight to other classes. To the great surprise, the death knight’s mass grip is now taken from the warrior and not replaced for the time being. Unusual.
As the developers of WoW: Dragonflight recently announced, the revision of new skills and talents in the classes is already very far advanced and is focused until Release of Dragon Flight about balancing the damage and healing numbers of the abilities. Matching this, Community Manager Linxy published one extensive postwhich lists the buffs and nerfs for the classes’ abilities.
With the warrior, the main focus is on generating anger, but the developers have also made a serious decision that has nothing to do with damage numbers, but instead takes away a newly gained utility ability from all three specs: Wrenching Impact will be removed and will be replaced later with a new talent. Wrenching Impact gave warriors the ability to modify their Heroic Leap to pull up to five nearby enemies on impact via the class talent tree.
Sudden reversal in class philosophy
This “mass grip” ability will remain reserved for death knights for the time being. The change comes out of the blue and is completely inconsistent with what Game Director Ion Hazzikostas has said so far Softening of the unique class abilities has communicated. After the warrior got the nurture from the death knight, we wondered what unique abilities would be reallocated to other classes.
Which class would get the witcher portal, among other things? Apparently nobody. Because as the change for Wrenching Impact shows, the developers are suddenly moving away from the idea of unlocking some of the most important utility skills in the game for other classes. How do you like this change? We look forward to your opinion in the comments.
