One Piece Odyssey: New trailer shows return to iconic location
The latest trailer for the JRPG One Piece Odyssey reveals the setting of Alabasta – or rather, the Straw Hats’ memory of Alabasta. In this world they meet old friends and enemies. The game will be released on January 12, 2023 for PC, Playstation and Xbox.
A new trailer for upcoming open-world RPG One Piece Odyssey features a surprising setting: the kingdom of Alabasta. The straw hat pirates around Monkey D. Luffy had actually not set foot in the desert land for a long time after the story arc around the baroque company, rebellion and a terrible drought came to an end. However, in One Piece Odyssey we will travel through memories with the pirate troupe, making Alabasta an important part of the game. Luffy & Co. must explore their memories to regain their lost abilities!

Reunion with old friends in Alabasta
In Alabasta, we’ll once again meet plenty of familiar characters – shapeshifter Bon Clay, cute sprinter Karuh, marine creep Smoker and, of course, honorary Straw Hat member Vivi. Just like back then, the princess needs our help, even if it’s “just” a memory, but there seems to be more behind it. The land of Alabasta seems somehow connected to Watford, the island we explore in One Piece Odyssey (buy now ) explore.
Popular creatures like giant land crabs, sexist camels and gigantic sand lizards also meet the Straw Hats – and sometimes have to fight them. A particularly emotional reunion awaits Luffy with the gang’s ship: In the Alabasta saga, the Straw Hats still sailed around with the Flying Lamb, not the Thousand Sunny!
