Just a few days ago went with Overwatch 2 one of the most anticipated games of the year. But instead of praise and good press, blizzard there are currently numerous reports about major server problems. eternal queues for the players were and are the order of the day. The reason for this was originally probably DDoS attacks on Blizzard, which we have already reported on. The topic of telephone numbers, which were necessary for registration, also caused displeasure among some. There are also problems with the Watchpoint package, which costs just under 40 euros and which some simply don’t seem to see in the game.

In the meantime, Blizzard has commented on the problems in an official blog post and promised improvements in various respects. Accordingly, yesterday on October 6th the servers are temporarily taken offline.


Although the situation had calmed down a bit since the DDoS attacks, in many respects it was by no means a smooth process. There were also numerous under the official Twitter thread on the subject complaintsafter the servers came back online. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming days and weeks.
