The developers are planning a lot of content for Modern Warfare 2. A leak promises the best maps of the entire CoD series as DLC.

Santa Monica, California – Modern Warfare 2 is set to keep Call of Duty fans busy and happy for a full two years. For this to work, developer Infinity Ward seems to have come up with something special. According to a leak, there is a kind of “Best of” DLC with the most popular maps in CoD history.

Where did the leak come from? The leak of the map pack in Modern Warfare 2 comes from “TheGhostOfHope” on Twitter. The insider is considered a reliable source for all sorts of information about the Activision shooter franchise in the “Call of Duty” community. He also leaked that the most popular maps in Warzone were deleted. As always, however, you should take this information with a pinch of salt.

What does the leak say exactly? According to the leaker, the map pack is in development and planned as a paid DLC. To celebrate 20 years of Call of Duty, developer Infinity Ward is planning to release the most popular maps from all developers in the Modern Warfare 2 map pack. These maps are arguably in addition to the legacy maps also returning in Modern Warfare 2. It is not yet clear how much the map pack in Modern Warfare 2 will cost in the end.

When should the maps come? An exact release for the map pack in Modern Warfare 2 has not yet been determined. However, TheGhostOfHope says in the leak that the DLC should be planned for the second year of Modern Warfare 2. Accordingly, fans can only expect the most popular maps in the CoD series at the end of 2023.

Which maps shouldn’t be missing? Which maps could ultimately be included in the map pack for Modern Warfare 2 can only be guessed at the moment. However, there are some cards that we would like to see again.
