Gotham Knights: Free exploration and custom difficulty in co-op

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

Gotham Knights’ co-op mode allows for free exploration and custom difficulty setting rather than stringing everything together.

Just a few weeks before the release of Gotham Knights, there is additional information on storytelling and co-op mode from Warner Bros. Montreal.

The studio places great value on story, which is why the decision was made to limit co-op to two players. The players can freely choose between the four knights. Here it can also be mentioned that each hero receives extensive cutscenes that will give their own perspective on the course of the story.

There are over 40 cinematic scenes for the clock tower alone, which serves as a hub area. Ann Lemay (Narrative Director) recommends playing the story with the different characters to experience the nuances, although it’s not essential to understand the story.

Outside of the story sections, the partners can independently explore the open game world in co-op, and different levels and levels of difficulty are also possible. Warner Brothers Montreal promises that balancing will allow a newcomer and a seasoned veteran to battle together while having fun. The townsfolk also react to the players and change their behavior with each progress. At first they are skeptical about the knights, later they cheer them on.

Gotham Knights will be available on October 21st for Xbox Series X|S and can be pre-ordered from the Xbox Store:
