Park Beyond: My hero's journey to Europa-Park

Today I would like to tell you about my hero’s journey to Europa-Park for XboxDynasty at the invitation of Bandai Namco Entertainment Germany.

My hero’s journey, I’ll tell you about it today and how I felt when I was little Xbox Dynasty Journalist embarked on a great adventure.

How does an adventure like this usually start? The hero is just thrown into a new adventure and has to make do with it, which is pretty much how XboxDynasty works (just kidding) – and that’s how this story starts.

Except that this journey does not start in any galaxy, far away or an imaginative world like Middle-earth, no, this adventure starts in the cathedral city called Cologne, where I have to prepare myself for a wonderful journey with the goal: Europe Park.

It all started early on a cool Monday morning, full of confidence and joy I grabbed my packed travel backpack and roamed out the door into the wide world. After some time of waiting, and a surprisingly punctual train, I was now on my way to a far away and unknown world.

The wonderful view of Germany spreads out in front of me until, after a few train changes, I finally reached my destination. Now it was time to get on the shuttle bus and off to the park!

Once there, the park itself was explored. As soon as you step through the entrance, almost the whole world of Europe opens up, because the park is known to be divided into different countries.

The journey started for me in Spain with its various delicacies and attractions. I was immediately fascinated by the panorama train, which stops in every country. So a round trip across the park to get an overview.

After this happened, my first stop was, no wonder, Germany. What caught my eye right away was the famous one Silverstarthe height Giant rollercoaster by Mercedes-Benz. In the middle stands a F1 safety car and a F1 Silver Arrow.

After a short wait, it was time to grit your teeth and get into this violent rollercoaster carriage. (Surprise: I’m still alive!)

After this attraction I had the courage and ready to go further, to feel the adrenaline, so I went to the Danube steamer (Badum Tss) and other attractions in Europa-Park.

If you also want to visit the park, you should bring plenty of time with you – and I just ran out of time, because it was getting late in the evening and the event that I came for in the first place started.

And you guessed it – Bandai Namco Entertainment Germany invited us from XboxDynasty to be part of a very special event for their new game: Park Beyond.

We met in the lobby to get to know each other and greeted old and new colleagues from all over the world. Then we went together to the lake restaurant in the Austria area. But before we started eating and drinking, Marco took us to two roller coasters, Bluefire and Wodanbecause Bandai Namco simply rented both lanes for a whole hour for the event.

That’s when the horror began, because Marco, Senior Public Relations Manager, was clearly aiming for me and that’s how you get into the wonderful situation of being fired twice in a row (!!!) on the train. Then finally we went to the Seehaus Restaurant and we could get our hands on the food and drinks – that wouldn’t have been a good idea before the roller coaster ride.

That was day 1.

Day 2 started with a succulent breakfast, after we all gathered we took the Europa-Park Express to the conference center where we were divided into two groups. Group 1, which I was in, was escorted through the middle of the park to a special room where we got to meet the park’s developer. He explained exciting details to us, how the planning of an attraction takes place, how long it takes to implement something like that and much more. After the presentation we were taken behind the scenes of the Blue Fire roller coaster where there were more exclusive insights and details.

But then came the most interesting part! When we were back in the center, we were finally allowed to put our hands on the game in what would have been a hands-on event.

We had four hours of playing time that went by far too quickly and I would like to tell you about that today. So click into my preview article and experience the eventful rollercoaster ride of Park Beyond up close:
