Overwatch 2 is extremely popular – at least on porn sites

Overwatch 2 has now been available for a full week. Complaints about various in-game bugs, the controversial Battle Pass, and the monetization of the game continue to pile up, but there’s another area where Overwatch 2 is enjoying quite a bit of popularity these days. It remains to be seen whether Blizzard is too happy about this.

Overwatch 2 climbs to the top of the charts

From the looks of it, the character D.VA from Overwatch was the number one search on Pornhub for a short time today. Also on the list are things like Tesla and Pumpkin, the latter of which is believed to be from the currently festive Halloween season. As Kotaku reports, While “Overwatch 2” is the most popular search term on Pornhub, D.VA itself has dropped a few spots.

This isn’t too surprising, of course, since Blizzard’s hero shooter has been quite popular on sites like Pornhub since its original release. Funnily enough, he received Tweet from an animatorwhich probably got access to the actually encrypted models of the Overwatch heroes, more likes than Blizzard’s own Posts about Overwatch 2 release.

Whether this popularity stems from actual Overwatch gameplay, or just character design, is hard to tell. However, we know that such animations are arguably quite important for a game’s marketing.
