Xbox Series X: New controller Lunar Shift uses moonlight design

Well-known controller with a new color: Microsoft presented a new variant of the classic Xbox controller with the mysterious name Lunar Shift. The optical mixture of silver and milky yellow is intended to simulate the moon in the night sky.

So if you miss the big disc in the sky during your gaming sessions during the day, you can now conjure it up into your own hands with the Xbox controller Lunar Shift.

New Xbox controller: touch moonlight

in the Xbox store describes the color gradient of the controller as “shimmering silver-gold” and emphasizes the “grey and black rubberized grips with color changes”. They actually go well with the night sky theme and could showcase the starless blackness.

Apart from the unusual design, you can expect a completely normal Xbox controller with the standard buttons and functions. In addition to the share button and the hybrid D-Pad, the Lunar Shift version also offers the classic option of switching between devices and compatibility with PCs, consoles, smartphones and tablets.

Together with the structured triggers and bumpers, the Lunar Shift Xbox controller is therefore a normal gamepad in terms of function and costs 64.99 euros accordingly. This is in contrast to the recently released Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 Core model, which almost doubles it at €119.99.

Xbox Design Lab: Unleash your creativity
