Bayonetta 3 reveals gameplay of the new character named Viola

Before the launch of its imminent Bayonetta 3 On October 28, Game Informer has released a gameplay video as part of its coverage this month, giving us an in-depth look at its new playable character, Viola.

Viola is a rookie Umbra witch in training at Bayonetta 3. The fact that she is not yet an experienced fighter is evident in her general playstyle. Viola’s fighting style relies more on the brute strength of her untapped potential, rather than the finesse of Bayonetta’s fighting style.

Differences in Viola’s gameplay from Bayonetta’s include aspects such as being able to use only her katana in fights. Bayonetta, on the other hand, is capable of using a wide variety of weapons as you come across them in the game.

When it comes to ranged fighting options, Viola opts to use throwing knives to extend her combos in long-range encounters, instead of using firearms. Viola is also able to summon her cat-like demon companion, Cheshire.

Another important difference is how Viola uses Witch Time. While Bayonetta accesses it, putting enemies in slow motion, dodging attacks with precise timing, Viola uses the mechanic by blocking her sword attacks with precise timing.

Bayonetta 3 It will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch. You can see the video below.
