Dune 2 in US cinemas is moving forward thanks to the blade shift - is it for us too?

from Susan Brown
The remake of Dune by Denis Villeneuve lured and delighted a number of fans to the cinema in 2021. Unofficially, the movie is called Dune: Part 1, which means there will also be Dune: Part 2. And the date on which Dune 2 is to be released in German cinemas has already been set: November 16, 2023. In the USA, the film is being pushed forward because of Blade’s postponement, is it here too?

Blade’s MCU implementation is not under the best of stars, we have already reported about it. After the director recently left the project, Disney officials have now officially announced a production stop and the theatrical release of Blade has been postponed from November 2023 to 2024 in the same breath. We are excited to see how this will continue. But we’re also excited for (at least) one other movie due to hit theaters in 2023, namely Dune: Part 2.

Dune 2 also in Germany earlier in the cinema?

Now the date for the Villeneuve sequel is moving forward in the USA, namely by two weeks, because the Blade date has become available – at least that’s what they report People from The Hollywood Reporter Based on a statement from the folks at Warner Bros. In U.S. theaters, Dune: Part 2 was scheduled to have a November 17, 2023 release date, but has been pushed forward to November 3, 2023. It can be assumed that the German date of Dune 2 will also slide from November 16 to November 2, 2023 – but this has not yet been confirmed.

But it probably wouldn’t hurt, because the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes is also scheduled to start on November 16, 2023, while November 2 has not yet offered any collision with another blockbuster due to the postponement of Blade . Dune 2 started production on July 18 this year.
