Hiding in the Demon’s Souls Remake is a ring that fans have been searching for for over a decade
When Demon’s Souls fans talk about “the one ring,” it’s not about The Lord of the Rings.

In contrast to the Hobbit, who carried the valuable piece of jewelry with him for a long time, the Souls ring has grown over the years into an unsolved mystery in the action RPG, which arose from a fan theory and was often used to convince other players to troll inside. In the course of the (almost) jailbreak of the PS5, the legendary item has suddenly appeared in the remake of the PS exclusive.

Mysterious ring is hiding in the remake
In case you’ve never heard of the Chieftain’s Ring, by the way, here’s a quick refresher: the ring is an urban legend, an item that never actually existed in the game but that fans have been searching for in the PS3 original for many years. According to the legend, if NPC Yurt survives to the end of the game, the ring should be found.
However, this claim was never confirmed and the ring remained a fun mystery – until now! Bluepoint Games, who are responsible for the Demon’s Souls remake, smuggled the item into the game code. It is still unclear whether this is cut content or whether you can actually find the Chieftain’s Ring in the game. However, it is likely that it never made it into the game, since Bluepoint said it did not want to change anything in terms of the content of the FromSoftware masterpiece.

Not only are there references to the ominous ring in the PS5 exclusive’s game code, as you can see above, but render graphics even made it into the Demon’s Souls remake.
