Fallout 4: Mod project “Fallout Miami” shows new atmospheric trailer

Fallout 4 (Rollenspiel) von Bethesda Softworks

Even almost seven years after its release, Fallout 4 is still a gathering place for countless mods. One of them is Fallout: Miami, which takes players to the state of Florida.

The huge mod has been in development for several years and is supposed to tell its own story. In keeping with the 25th anniversary of the Fallout series, the modders are now giving a new insight into their vision of an end-time Miami.

Fallout Miami: The end times can be so beautiful

The new video does not show related game scenes from Fallout: Miami, but there is a sightseeing flight over the previous areas of the upcoming mod. They can even be seen properly, as they capture the end-time style of the Fallout series well.

Dilapidated streets, rusted car bodies, destroyed buildings, radioactive ruins, abandoned vaults and here and there the remains of the neon sign: The trailer, which lasts more than two and a half minutes, shows the otherwise so sunny and friendly Miami from a dark side.

What is Fallout Miami about?

As the trailer already shows, Fallout Miami will definitely not be a small mod project. The Total Conversion only builds on the basic structure of Fallout 4, but otherwise wants to offer a stand-alone experience.

Of course, this starts with the game world, which does justice to the name Miami. However, the developers are primarily concentrating on the city center and the port of the US city. There a conflict between two factions arises: On the one hand the Miami Enclave, which consists of parts of the former US government, and on the other hand the Nuclear Patriots, who call themselves righteous.

At the beginning of the mod, the player ends up right between the two factions and has to choose a side in the course of the story. Depending on how you do it, there should be a different ending. The modders mainly use Fallout: New Vegas from Obsidian Entertainment as a model.

In addition to its own story, Fallout Miami will also feature new monsters and weapons. For example, in some areas you will encounter mutated flamingos that may be a bit hostile.

When is Fallout Miami due out?

That’s the big price question. The mod team has been working on the modification for some time and a release is not quite in sight. Similar to Fallout: London, the team will probably be busy with development for a few more months.

As a little foretaste there is the Miami Misadventures. These are small content packs for Fallout 4 that implement new characters, quests, and items into the main game. The first episode can be on both the PC via Nexusmods or on Xbox One be downloaded for free.
