Goosebumps at midnight: New Netflix horror from the creators of “Haunted Hill House” becomes a hit
Halloween is just around the corner – and fans of horror and scary things can look forward to many new horror films and series again this year, such as this cabinet of horrors by horror master Guillermo del Toro (out October 25 on Netflix).
With all the plethora of promising productions (mainly for adults), one new Netflix series initially received little attention: Goosebumps at midnight.
The dark horror series has been since October 7, 2022 available on the streaming service and is primarily aimed at a young audience, which does not detract from the surprising success.
This is undoubtedly due to Series creator Mike Flanaganthe last with the successful horror series Haunted Hill House, Haunted Bly Manor and last Midnight Mass delivered to Netflix.

What is Goosebumps at Midnight about?
Midnight Goosebumps is based on one young adult book series with horror stories by Christopher Pike and is aptly titled The Midnight Club. Will there be a 2nd season?
The first season leaves viewers with some unanswered questions that make it clear that there will be a sequel – at least that’s the plan of series creator Mike Flanagan. So far none has been 2nd season officially confirmed by Netflix, but that should only be a matter of time given the many positive reviews.
“We haven’t answered some of the season’s key questions. This There are answers, but they are intended for the next season. If there are none, I will post on twitterand then at least we can all talk about it,” says Flanagan, if, contrary to expectations, there shouldn’t be a sequel.
