Sony releases new system update 22.02-06.02.00 for PS5 possibly to block jailbreak

Sony has released a new upgrade system for PS5. PS5 update version 22.02-06.02.00 is available to download and install worldwide.

Like the previous update, the patch notes that Sony provided simply say: “This system software update improves system performance“. Because of this, there is no real way of knowing what Sony is doing with this new software update for the PS5. However, given how small the patch is, there’s a good chance it won’t be anything major for most PS5 owners.

Sony may just be laying the groundwork with PS5 update version 22.02-06.02.00 for things to come in the future. However days ago a vulnerability was discovered and this update might be to block that.
