Bloodborne Kart: Gehrman now zips through the unofficial Bloodborne Racer in a jet scooter

The beast hunter gets new competition in the unofficial Bloodborne Kart offshoot.

After her Bloodborne demake, Lilith Walther has been working on a Mario Kart variant of the role-playing game for several months now. The fan project has the same retro style as the previous demake and lets us experience the beast hunter riding his cool motorbike in a fun racer.

The developer has now given an update on the current status of Bloodborne Kart and shows us a new racer who we don’t know whether to be happy about or rather laugh at because of his funny animations.

Gehrmann joins Bloodborne Kart

Who joins the racing squad? Walther reveals that none other than Gehrman, the first hunter, becomes a playable character for their Bloodborne Racer. Since the character is in a wheelchair in the official Bloodborne game, he naturally also races down the slopes in the kart version with a jet wheelchair:

It just looks hilarious how Gehrman is still trying to propel the wheelchair with his arms, even though the jet propulsion is already making him breakneck speed. The developer even thought about the details of gripping the wheels when Gehrman drifts around the corner:

How do you know Gehrman in the game? Gehrman has a significant role for the beast hunter. He serves as the leader of the Hunters and can be found in the Workshop of the Dream. Towards the end of the game he surprises with a twist that we don’t want to spoil further here.

Bloodborne driving fun for everyone

If Bloodborne Kart is based on the demake, it will be a free-to-play title for PC. In order to steer the racers through the race tracks, we then need a PS1 controller. That keeps the old retro feel.

How many drivers are there in total? As soon as the game is finished, we shall eight different racers to choose from. Each character should only be able to use their own kart. The beast hunter remains an exception, because he can use any other vehicle, including Gehrman’s wheelchair.

Other characters already confirmed for the unofficial Bloodborne Racer are the abandoned doll and Father Gascoigne. We can’t wait to see what other characters will be added from Bloodborne and when we can expect the racing game.
