Farthest Frontier: Another Content Update Coming - News

In a detailed Post in the in-house (English-speaking) forum On October 11th, Crate Entertainment will have the contents of the next update for the survival game builder Farthest Frontier (to the game check) announced. The list of new features and changes is long and beautifully illustrated – but the patch that upgrades Farthest Frontier to version 0.8.0 will not bring any major new game content. To do this, the developers are turning several detailed screws.

So Farthest Frontier gets a “dramatically expanded” tutorial that explains the various aspects and systems of the game in detail. Above all, construction game beginners should benefit from this. In addition, the visibility of your residents’ “desirability” has been improved: they have various wishes that you must fulfill so that they can upgrade their houses to higher-quality housing – which means that you benefit from higher tax revenues. If you now place buildings that beautify residential districts, you should be able to see their positive effects better before construction.

The focus remains on improving artificial intelligence. With version 0.8.0, your workers should be more independent and sensibly divided between the various construction sites and complete large projects that consist of several small construction sites more efficiently. In addition, a bug affecting the market stalls has been fixed: the trader will now also reliably supply your residents with the goods they need so that they can devote more time to their jobs.

In addition to new buildings for city beautification, balancing adjustments, new or revised quality-of-life features, the update aims to eliminate bugs and improve overall performance. The update should appear in the next few days.
