PT on PS5? Dataminer makes the impossible possible!

The horror game PT cannot be played on the PS5.

I’m sure many of you still remember ptwhich as a teaser game too Silent Hills published by Konami. However, after the project – together with Hideo Kojima – was discontinued, Konami also wanted to make PT disappear forever. The PS4 title could no longer be downloaded anywhere – only those players who still had the teaser installed on their console could still play PT. Two years ago – at the launch of the PS5, the publisher then claimed that the title no longer running on the new hardware.

The opposite has now Lance McDonald on Twitter proven. The Dataminer has succeeded in PT on a normal PS5 to install and play. But of course he took a few detours, which are not that simple. The decisive factor here is also the fact that Lance McDonald recently succeeded for the first time in creating a PS5 Jailbreak to perform. Two consoles are currently used for the transfer of PT.

This is how PT runs on a PS5

The data miner installed a PS4 emulator on the jailbroken PS5, which he then transferred to the standard version of the PS5 with a USB backup. This unlocked PT, which runs perfectly fine on the console – even though the title should no longer be playable on PS5. A video of the action of Lance McDonald shared the Dataminer on his Twitter account.
