This year’s Halloween event at “Pokémon GO” will again take place on two dates. Part 1 starts this week.

The annual Pokémon GO Halloween event is back in 2022. It is very popular among gamers because it offers many special features. Among other things, the music in the game is adapted and is reminiscent of the soundtracks of the classic “Pokémon” games from Nintendo. In addition, players receive numerous generous bonuses and, of course, a particularly large number of ghost Pokémon, which otherwise rarely appear, appear in time for Halloween. This year’s event will again be divided into two parts, the first of which will start this week.

“Pokémon GO” Halloween Event: Part 1 starts on Thursday

The first part of the Pokémon GO Halloween event begins on Thursday, October 20 at 10 a.m. and ends a week later on October 27, also at 10 a.m. Players can expect the following:

  • In the Mega Raids, players will be able to encounter the Pokémon Mega Banette for the first time – with a bit of luck also the Shiny specimen.
  • The 7km Eggs will hatch into Makabaja, Galar Makabaja, and eF-eM as Normal or Shiny Pokémon. Only the normal specimens of Paragoni and Golbit can be hatched.
  • Players will receive twice as much Candy for catching, sending, and hatching Pokémon.
  • PokéStops and Gyms are getting a Halloween-themed makeover.
  • The Lavandia music, known from the first Gameboy games, will be heard as a remix version.

Is the Pokémon GO Halloween event free?

Basically, “Pokémon GO” players can participate in the event for free, since the special research is available to everyone. However, if you want, you can buy tickets for limited research.

  • Ticket 1 (1 Euro) includes a time-limited research, after completion of which Makabaja and Galarian Makabaja appear.
  • Ticket 2 (5 euros) includes a limited research in which the bonus for candies is increased. In addition, players receive other special Halloween tasks here. A new avatar pose is available as a reward for completing the research.

Players can purchase both tickets as the content overlaps each other. However, you must have completed the tasks and claimed the rewards by November 1, 2022. After that it is no longer possible.

Start date for part 2 of the Halloween event not yet known

So far, Niantic has only announced the Pokémon and Raids for Part 1 of the Halloween event. But it will probably start a few days later. All information about the event is on the official Pokémon GO website listed.
