2 players are kicked out of the group in WotLK Classic before they are allowed to loot – still win every item

Apparently there are some black sheep in the WoW Classic community. A player recounts his experience of being kicked out of a dungeon in Wrath of the Lich King by a group, apparently to secure the loot for himself. But that didn’t work out.

This is the story: Of the reddit user HawksNStuff tells that he was looking for a group for heroic dungeons with his fresh 80s villain. He ended up digging out Stratholme (“HdZ 4”), one of WotLK’s new dungeons.

As he explains, the tank and two of the DPS players were in the same guild. Only HawksNStuff itself and the healer are foreign. The goal was the coveted dragon, which you can get in the dungeon if you complete it fast enough.

In WotLK Classic, there is always a discussion that some players only want the best gear from their fellow players. However, the user explains that the whole group was well equipped and could easily have made the run.

The rush to WotLK Classic was tremendous. Many veterans and new players wanted to go to Northrend. This is how crazy it looked on the first ship to the new continent:

However, there were several wipes in which, according to HawksNStuff, the other DPS players and the tank made mistakes and eventually died. With a few tricks, the run was still successful. Nevertheless, the tank would have insulted his teammates again and again.

At the end of the dungeon, he and the healer were removed from the group with the words “Fuck you losers” before they could open the chest waiting there. The other 3 players apparently wanted to exclude her from the loot.

How did the players get the loot? The game itself calculates who is eligible to receive loot and who is not during a battle. Since the players were still in the dungeon, they were allowed to roll the contained items.

HawksNStuff and the healer agreed to roll need for each item. They got everything there was there – including a shield, which is one of the best items for tanks until late in the expansion and one of the most beautiful in the game: the royal crest of Lordaeron.

The community on reddit has responded extremely positively. Within a few hours, the thread received over 5,400 upvotes and hundreds of comments. Users openly show glee as they condemn behavior like that of the tank and his friends.

Others cannot understand why you behave like this – especially in a situation like this:

Imagine making such a fuss about a mount that everyone gets by simply running through the dungeon throughout the expansion. Jesus, people are strange!

A few even accuse the thread creator of being the villain in the story here. He replies: “How? They knew from the start that they would cheat us. Not just about the loot, but also about the heroic item for the daily.”
