Overwatch 2: Players discover new, inaccessible areas in old maps

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

In Overwatch 2, players have discovered that old maps have new areas that cannot be entered.

Players have made a discovery in Overwatch 2: There are new areas in some old maps, which, however, cannot be reached in normal gameplay.

According to current information, this applies to the King’s Row, Havana and Rialto maps.

When watching the replay after a match, the camera can be moved freely, this way these areas can be reached and explored. The IGN platform has tested and confirmed this. On TikTok, User shows @lowendwibs the section in Rialto.

After comparisons with material from the original Overwatch, it could be ruled out that these are areas from the archive events that had already been used in the past. So it remains to be seen what lies behind these map sections.
