The lens breathes in Hellblade 2: Ninja Theory brings anamorphic cinematic effects into play
Visually, Ninja Theory’s Senua’s Sage: Hellblade 2 is designed to break all previous boundaries. In a tweet, the development studio now announced that they are using a technique for the title that brings the anamorphic effects used in the cinema to the video game. Until now, effects like this could only be found in movies.

In this way, Hellblade 2 is said to offer an “immersive, cinematic experience”. The cinema atmosphere is created by a mixture of distortion, chromatic aberration, spherical aberration and bokeh effects. Ninja Theory shows you the difference with and without these effects in a small video.
