Gungrave GORE – First Impressions

Gungrave GORE

Gungrave GORE has its roots way back on PS2, now it’s back. We were able to play a bit of this promising new game and I bring you our impressions.

Gungrave GORE

Gungrave GORE is the newest of this franchise since the beginning of 2000, you can imagine the time we had without seeing him.

For these first impressions I was able to play a few chapters and it looks like a pretty complete game. The game gives us the freedom, that, during these chapters, we can do whatever we want, so we have enough material to give solid first impressions.

This is a somewhat different third person shooter game, amazingly original weapons. Quite curious characters. The two pistols of, the standard weapon for any self-confident anime badass, almost have a life of their own.

It’s weird at first, but it grows on you once the rest of the game clicks, and you realize you’re more concerned with keeping your “Beat” than accuracy or survivability.

Grave can expand his moveset with a varied number of coffin-swinging combos, throws and follow-ups, somehow more exaggerated, Demolition Shots, and more. There are also stats you can improve, with points you accumulate as you play or repeat levels.

Gungrave GORE

Visually the Gungrave GORE looks super good, I’m genuinely impressed. He has a stylish anime style, mixed with a lot of fantasy. And it has a large number of configurations for PC, giving us a lot of versatility when it comes to playing. And at the execution level, I have noticed it quite solid.

I’m not sure how much gameplay time Gungrave GORE will give us, but for preview access, it was quite a bit of time.

Gungrave GORE I did not like the use of the cameras during the gameplay, it really feels uncomfortable and even leads us to feel lost. Dodge takes up a lot of space and doesn’t go through enemies, so it’s easy to get stuck on things trying to get out of a sticky situation.

The sound and voice effects were another aspect that I liked the most. In contrast to the story that I feel is somewhat empty and simple, but hey, maybe it’s something that can be improved as you progress through the game.

So far, that’s the little I can tell you about this Gungrave GORE. We’ll see how it goes with its launch, and of course, wait for our review.

These impressions were made thanks to a BETA copy for PC provided by Prime Matter.
